SunCoast E40D/4R/5R Billet Aeromet Input Shaft 89-10 Ford Powerstroke
SunCoast's Aeromet Input Shaft is much stronger than the Vascomax material used in the 300M Billet Input Shaft (5R-BIS). This added strength helps resist sheer breaking, which is very common in the E4OD, 4R100 and 5R110 transmissions due to their smaller shaft size. A sheer break typically occurs with excessive power in 1989-2010 Ford Powerstrokes and IDI's or the rapid loading and unloading of the transmission. This phenomenon is common place with wheel hop. The Aeromet material is also more resistant to torsional fatigue breakage, providing better service and reliability for towing and heavy-duty workloads.
