Expedition One has long been in the bumper building game. Originally creating a niche with their trail series bumpers and swing out tire carriers, they've built-up an extensive track record of tough and proven bumpers. Branching out, they've started creating vehicle specific bumpers for the guys that need them the most, heavy duty truck owners. The Ram Cummins platform is no exception as with it's high ground clearance, larger intercoolers/radiators, wide spaced frame rails and solid front axle, there is lots of need and lots of space for a heavy duty front bumper.
Designed to be a stylish, working mans bumper, the RangeMax Ultra HD front bumpers cover all the bases for what you need out of a bumper. Three different hoop options to fine tune your setup to your needs. The short hoop is perfect for those who don't need headlight protection but still want to protect their grill and have an area to mount lights. The brush guards are welded to the bumper to give the most amount of strength and durability. The bumper can be ordered raw/bare steel or in textured black powdercoat to give you the most amount of protection. Accommodating up to an 18k lbs winch, there is ample space for mounting and configuring to your winch needs. Depending on the layout/design of the winch, your solenoid might need to be relocated but that is a fairly straight forward affair. Large fog light pockets allow for up to a 5.5" diameter light to be mounted on each side. Holes in the bumper for vehicle sensors and side turn signals make your bumper fully functional.
HOOP OPTIONS:
Expedition One offers 3 different style off hoops for their Dodge Ram front bumpers. Of course you can get the bumper without a hoop but if you are in need of one, you'll want to make your decision now as the hoops are welded on.
- Short Center Hoop - Just as the name describes, the short center hoop that attaches to the top plate of the bumper above the fog light pockets and rise up ~8 inches. This gives you some grill protection along with clearance for operating the winch. It is pictured above on the grey truck with yellow amber lights. Postioned perfectly for mounting round lights or light bars with bar clamps.
- Full Bullbar Hoop - This is a full brush guard with side hoops that connect to the center hoop and bumper by the front fenders. Welded in place, this setup gives a great amount of protection thanks to the 2.5" diameter steel tube. The center hoop section is welded to the top plate of the bumper above the fog light pocks and rises up to the top of the grill. It is pictured above on the blue truck with PIAA fog lights.
- XD Bullbar Hoop - The XD Bullbar is similar in over size compared to the Full Bullbar Hoop but it additionally has tube that goes from left to right directly above the bumper. This adds massive amounts of strength and reinforcement. The connection points are in the same location as the Full Bullbar Hoop as well. It is pictured above on the blue truck with the raw steel bumper.
- Upon purchase of the bumper, it comes warrantied to be free from major defect in the powdercoat for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. Defects in powdercoat/paint are warrantied for 30 days from the date of purchase for defects in workmanship only.
- This bumper may NOT be compatible with the AEV fender flares and would likely require significant cutting and modification to work with them.
- Bumper is for Cummins equipped trucks only.
