You know you want it. You know you NEED it. Turn your Duramax into an absolute beast with this 7" lift kit from Cognito. This is the best, most all inclusive system you'll find on the market to not only lift your truck, but increase the offroad capability, while not degrading your ride quality.
TRAVEL - This kit drops the front differential a full 7", which retains the stock (original) tie rod and CV axle angles to ensure suspension travel is maintained.
CLEARANCE - This kit is a "non-torsion bar drop" design which keeps the torsion bars in their original location rather than hanging down under the chassis for added ground clearance and superior aesthetics (who wants a bunch of steel hanging under the truck?!).
CASTER - Front track width is increased by 1.2" per side in order to retain proper caster settings.
SKID PLATE - Cognito has incorporated a front skid plate to protect the front differential, which also ties the included Cognito front and rear cross members together for added rigidity.
SWAY BAR - Sway bar end links and all required mounting hardware are included.
EXTENDED BRAKE LINES - Extended brake lines are required and included with this kit.
FINISH - All steel bracketry is finished in semi-gloss black powder coating.
SHOCKS - This kit includes a pair of Fox 2.0 IFP Performance Series monotube shocks. You can never go wrong with the Fox name, and these are no different. The Performance Series features an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) to separate oil from high pressure nitrogen, creating a smooth, predictable ride quality.
Lastly, for those that want the absolute performance, or just the cool look of remote reservoirs, you can upgrade to a pair of Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoirs.
PITMAN AND IDLER ARM SUPPORT KIT (OPTIONAL) - This kit gives you the option to include the patented Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit that corrects a design flaw in Chevy and GMC truck steering systems. This kit can be used without these Items but they are strongly suggested.
CV DRIVELINE (OPTIONAL) - You have the option to add a longer front CV driveline to ensure optimum suspension travel and 4WD operation. This is not a required item, however we would suggest selecting this option to ensure your driveline angles are at the proper position and eliminates pre mature failure of the driveline itself.
TRACTION BAR KIT (OPTIONAL) - As power increases and trailer weights get heavier, axle wrap becomes a major issue on these trucks, causing a hopping that makes driving difficult and can kill u-joints and other vehicle components. Eliminate axle wrap while not destroying your suspension's ability to articulate with any of the traction bar kit options from Cognito.
