Carli SPEC 2.5" Leveling Backcountry 2.0 Suspension System 11-16 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The Backcountry 2.0 Suspension System from Carli is about leveling your truck the RIGHT way. It's designed for people seeking light to medium off-roading while still maintaining good on-road driving. Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0″ diameter shocks tuned for slow to mid speed off road use as well as all-around comfort and ride quality while driving in town, on the highway, towing, or hauling. Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts an aluminum body, hardened steel shaft, and full rebuild-ability. The shocks contain premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. Your truck will sit 2.5” higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the taller, lighter rate coil springs. To accommodate the additional travel, the kit contains improved brake lines, an adjustable track bar, and caster adjusters to improve on the stock handling.
ADJUSTABLE TRACK BAR
The truck will sit 2.5” higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the lighter rate Carli Coil Springs. The included Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle and Stainless Brake Lines firm up braking and ensure there is enough line for the newfound travel. To round off the front end, Carli include Caster Shims to tighten the steering.
REAR LEAF SPRING OPTIONS
The rear can be outfitted with a replacement Full Progressive Spring Pack (reduces capacity to a “light” ¾-ton) or factory leaf-pack modifying Progressive Add-a-Pack (maintains factory payload capacity and pairs with the factory 2” block). This is where the F250 and F350 are a bit different. Since 2008, the main spring packs on these two trucks is different; the F250 has a lighter rate spring pack than its 350 counterpart. The F250 Add-a-Pack equipped systems are a nice improvement over stock; the F350 with the Add-a-Pack is still very stiff in the rear as the main pack doesn’t move much unless loaded. Carli recommends the Full Replacement Leaf Spring packs for both trucks but especially the F350 given the super-stiff factory springs. If capacity is a concern, an aftermarket airbag system should be installed to compliment the Full Progressive Leaf Springs to restore the F350 capacity. Carli recommends a system that will allow the airbags to disconnect from the lower mount during suspension cycling to ensure you’re able to take advantage of all your rear suspension travel. The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack will shift the axle slightly forward in the wheel well to ensure maximum tire clearance for a 37” M/T at full compression.

FULL PROGRESSIVE LEAF SPRING KIT SPECIFICATIONS:

WHEEL AND TIRE FITMENT
Factory Wheels SHOULD NOT be run with oversized tires. They’re known to rub the radius arm, sway bar and most concerning – Brake Lines. Factory tires and factory wheels will work without issue but Carli DOES NOT recommend running oversized tires on factory wheels. On our 2.5” Ford Systems, Carli recommends 17”-18” wheels, no more than 9” wide with 5.5” of backspacing with Carli Fabricated Radius Arms or 5” Backspace with factory arms; 5” will require a bit more trimming. Tires, 37×12.5” will fit with some trimming; 35” will likely fit without trimming. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.
LEAF SPRING SHACKLE
Factory rear shackles are strong but can make the ride stiff and bouncy. Carli’s shackles are made from thick steel and have serviceable bushings that let the rear suspension move smoothly, reduce axle wrap and wheel hop. Made from strong 1/4" steel, greasable and rebuildable for long life, provides a far better ride than the factory shackle, and fits both factory and Carli springs
RADIUS ARM
Fully boxed construction, these Carli radius arms correct 0.5°-2.5° of caster at the axle mount ensuring ANY Carli customer can achieve death-wobble-preventing positive caster.
HIGH MOUNT STEERING STABILIZER
Installs up and out of the way with the provided frame hardware and Drag-Link Bracket. A higher nitrogen charge pushes to the left to counter-act a Right Hand Tire Pull. Combine with a Carli Low-Mount for a true, infinitely adjustable stabilization system for optimal damping with any tire.
LOW MOUNT STEERING STABILIZER
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Wheels: Carli recommends a 17"-18" wheel, no more than 9" wide with 5" - 5.5" of backspacing
- Tires: 35", E-rated tire is recommended. Tire pressure 45psi front, 40psi rear
- Configuration: Carli leveling systems are designed and tested on vehicles with 17"-18" wheels with 35", E-rated tires. Running stock wheels and tires or a larger wheel diameter will result in a stiffer ride.
