BDS Suspension 6" Lift Kit 14-18 Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins 4WD
Get the height and clearance you are looking for with this monster 6" lift from BDS Suspension. What better way to break in your truck than with a 6" lift from BDS. The suspension system for the redesigned Ram 2500 trucks uses the same front components as the 6" system for the 2013 Ram 3500s. As with the 3500s, the radius arms are relocated with a uniquely designed bracket that mixes the ease of installation you get with an adapter-type bracket with the strength and durability of a full replacement radius arm mount bracket.
The new relocation bracket ties into both the factory radius arm frame mount and the side of the frame rail. At the frame, the new mount is fastened with specially machined sleeves and threaded inserts. The threaded inserts (2) do require a minor amount of welding in order to provide the strongest possible connection. This portion of the installation can be completed without welding and then transported to a weld shop to be welded if necessary.
In addition to the radius arm relocation, the kit includes everything else to properly lift the Ram Cummins 2500s. BDS went above and beyond spending extra design time developing coils that would ride great, handle the rigors of supporting a 3/4 ton truck and work properly with the unique factory coil mounts at the frame and axle.
HD Radius Arms
In place of the factory stamped steel radius arms BDS supplies a pair of high-strength tubular radius arms. These arms mount into the factory location and offer caster adjustment for a wide range of lift heights along with an OE-style rubber bushing at the frame mount for smooth, quiet, service-free operation.
Pro-Ride Coil Springs
A pair of full-length, diesel-specific, progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs are supplied to provide the correct lift height and smooth, predictable ride across various terrains. Manufactured from high tensile steel, our direct OE replacement coil springs are engineered with properly sized wire diameter. This results in maximum reliability without premature coil bind.
Steering Correction
To optimize steering geometry once lifted, a forged drop pitman arm is used to minimize the steering angle and pair it with a heavy duty track bar drop bracket to keep them in phase through suspension travel while recentering the front axle.
Shock Options:
- NX2 Nitro Series Shocks - BDS NX2 series gas shocks offer impressive performance on and offroad. They use a nitrogen-charged, twin-tube design with 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving for lightning-fast dampening and superior control.
- FOX 2.0 Performance Series Shocks - Fox 2.0 performance series shocks have been tuned and tested by both FOX and BDS Suspension to maximize performance specific to each application and every BDS Suspension system. The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) shock design is based on proven Fox Racing Shocks race products but re-designed to maximize the ride quality, handling, and control of your BDS-equipped truck, whether on or off the road.
Steering Stabilizer Options:
-
Dual NX2 Nitro Series: Are you worried about your steering control? NX2 Nitro Steering Stabilizer is designed to be a high-end performance shock at an affordable price. Built with a durable metallic finish, a large fluon-banded piston, and self-lubricating seals this stabilizer is tough enough to last but tuned with vehicle-specific valving to give you amazing control. Built with both the morning commute and some light off-roading in mind, keep stress out of your steer and install one of these today!
- Dual FOX 2.0 Performance Series: Taking things even further is the dual FOX 2.0 setup. Built to last from the top up this performance setup will enhance control, reduce shimmy and bump steer, and improve tire wear and front-end component life. Protect your investment and smooth out your rough spots before they leave you figuratively hanging.
Brake Line Kit
As you add lift height, your brake lines among other things can get overextended. Specially designed for vehicles with a 4 to 8-inch lift, these front brake lines are built with stainless steel braided hose and feature a Kevlar liner for an improved brake pedal feel.
Adjustable Rear Track Bar
This new track bar allows for fine adjustment of the rear axle position. It also provides better control of the rear axle by replacing the soft factory rubber bushings with high durometer polyurethane at the frame and a forged COM bearing joint at the axle. Both ends are rebuildable and the poly bushings are greaseable. Can be used with or without track bar relocation when needed for heights of 0-8".
Carrier bearing Drop Kit
If you will be installing this suspension system on a truck with a two piece rear driveshaft, we highly recommend installing a carrier bearing drop to avoid excessive driveshaft angles.
