Looking to upgrade your factory 5R110 transmission for better reliability, towing performance, and long-term durability? The ATS Built 5R110 Transmission is a fully remanufactured and upgraded automatic transmission designed for 2003–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. Built by ATS Diesel’s transmission specialists, each unit features extensive internal improvements over stock and is dyno tested before shipping.

This transmission is useful for owners who tow, daily drive, or want added confidence when putting power to the ground. Compared to the factory 5R110, the ATS build improves clutch capacity, fluid flow, and overall durability to better handle the demands of work, towing, and long-term use. 

All ATS-built 5R110 transmissions, regardless of stage, receive the same core internal upgrades. These include an upgraded pump with a machined housing for improved fluid flow, increased GPZ clutch capacity in all gear packs, custom-machined clutch apply plates, modified solenoids, and a shimmed pressure regulator valve. Each unit also receives a custom-machined direct drum with upgraded bushing, new OEM center support and speed sensors, and all new bushings, bearings, gaskets, seals, and filter.

Stage 1 Transmission Package: includes the ATS Built 5R110 automatic transmission, the ATS 5-Star Viskus clutch-drive torque converter, and an ATS extra-deep transmission pan. This stage is ideal for stock or mildly modified trucks used for daily driving and towing that need improved reliability over the factory transmission.

Stage 2 Transmission Package: includes everything in the Stage 1 package, with the addition of an upgraded billet input shaft. The billet input shaft provides increased strength over the factory shaft and is designed to better handle higher torque loads in more demanding towing or work applications.

Stage 2 Transmission Package with PTO: includes all Stage 2 upgrades plus a Power Take-Off (PTO) port for auxiliary equipment. Suitable for trucks that operate winches, pumps, or other PTO-driven accessories

Please note: Choosing between Stage 1 and Stage 2 depends on how your truck is used. Stage 1 is well-suited for stock and lightly modified trucks, while Stage 2 is recommended for applications that place higher torque demands on the transmission.

Once your core transmission is ready for pick up, you just need to give us a call or send us an e-mail with your original order number and the core tag on the transmission, and we can supply you with a quote on the return shipping as that is not covered in the original shipping cost. Otherwise, we give you the option to coordinate the return shipping on your own and independently pay your courier of choice.
